Former Moy Davitts and Mayo ladies football star Niamh Kelly has been selected on the 2023 AFLW All-Australian squad.

The nomination comes after Kelly featured in all of the Adelaide Crows’ games this season and scored six goals in the process. All 18 AFLW clubs are represented on the 42-player shortlist, with Adelaide leading the way with six nominations.

The 28-year-old is aiming to become the second Irish woman to receive an All-Australian award after Tipperary’s Orla O’Dwyer, who was honoured in 2022 for his stellar displays with the Brisbane Lions. The final selection will be revealed on Monday week, November 27.
