Leinster Rugby says it has no issue with the GAA's rules regarding where alcohol is consumed in Croke Park.

Newstalk presenter Ciara Kelly caused a storm on social media yesterday when she claimed that spectators at tomorrow's European Champions Cup semi-final between Leinster and Northampton at Croke Park would not be allowed to drink in their seats because the GAA sees rugby as a "foreign sport".

However, the stadium forbids alcohol to be consumed in the seated or terrace areas at all GAA games, something Ms Kelly clearly hadn't done her homework on.

Hi folks - happy to clarify that the GAA and Croke Park Stadium have been nothing but welcoming of Leinster Rugby throughout this process and I’m sure EPCR would agree ahead of Saturday.
