Dublin GAA fans have been left “absolutely heartbroken” after the tragic death of 15-year-old Jack Daniel.
An avid Dublin supporter who spent his time on Hill 16, Jack passed away on Tuesday after a 14-month battle against cancer.
Those attending his funeral at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Churchview Road, Killiney tomorrow morning have been urged to wear the county colours.
“Absolutely heartbroken to hear of the passing of Dublin fan, Jack Daniel, after a brave 14-month battle against cancer,” the Dublin GAA Fans page posted.
“Thoughts and prayers are with Nigel, Geraldine and all Jack’s family at this sad time. Croke Park and the Hill will never forget you Jack. You touched many hearts in your young life.”
Cabinteely FC also posted: “All at the club are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of former player Jack Daniel at the young age of just 15 after a brave battle with illness.
“A great kid and a very supportive family. We extend our sympathies to his parents Geraldine and Nigel, and his many friends."
