Kenmare Shamrocks and Dr Crokes will do battle for the Bishop Moynihan Cup following their Kerry SFC semi-final victories at a sun-splashed Fitzgerald Stadium.

County star Sean O’Shea scored 0-8 as Kenmare got the better of North Kerry by 0-15 to 0-9. The winners led by 0-6 to 0-3 at the break thanks to scores from David Ciuciu, Stephen O’Brien and Tom Murnane, and never looked back after an O’Shea two-pointer put them 0-9 to 0-4 up in the third quarter.

In the second part of the double-bill, 2024 champions Dr Crokes brought Spa’s fairytale run to an end with a hard-earned 1-20 to 3-11 victory.

David Spillane netted in the third-minute for Spa, but hot favourites Crokes went on to lead by 1-11 to 1-2 at the interval after Tony Brosnan raised a green flag in stoppage-time.

Two more Spillane goals in quick succession brought Spa back into contention after the restart and they twice had the deficit down to four points before points from Alex Hennigan and Gavin White gave Crokes some breathing space. The underdogs cut the gap to three late on, but couldn’t find an equalising goal as Crokes marched on.
