Replying To Miami305:  "ready to judge now? Last years semi finals mean nothing. The same way tipp were gone by this stage last year but are now right back in contention. you are only as good as your last game. or in Clare's case your last 3, as the win against waterford in the context of all thier other defeats shows the level Clare are at."
Last yr is last yr we r now in a totally new yr. Yes indeed the first game against Galway it was foolish not to go for goal in the dying seconds with only the keeper to beat. We don't have the killer instinct anymore. This yr just like the end of the league they are gutless performances. To say otherwise is just kidding everyone.

I don't expect to have John Conlon reading this but could someone tell him when he takes on the whole Limerick backs his teammates were unmarked in front of goal. Did he ever hear of the "handpass". Clare seem to have lost the ability to get out of trouble using the handpass. As for Shane O Donnell not at the races in lack of match practice. Why have Clare not bloodied new players? Clare without a pivot, as Donnellan & Bugler their loss is so sever? As for Kelly and bringing him into the game, all great players don't need that, they set their own standards. But for management having Kelly & Collins in the backs what the hell were they at. Time for a new broom with management, time to start building a new team with heart. Since Kelly's trouncing in the Club Final he has been a shadow of himself, think its time he had a lot of time out or hung up his boots for wearing the county jersey.

Replying To LoughDerg:  "While I really question the O'Connor/Moloney decision making, or lack of, the last two results, especially v Limerick, is hard to take. It is no disgrace to lose to this Limerick team, it was the way they lost. No pride, no fighting spirit What is Kelly doing, wandering all over the pitch, with little to show for it except tired legs in the last 15 minutes? Band-aids art not going to fix this, it requires major surgery and a new manager!!"
Yes indeed major surgery in saving the few good bits & the need for new replacements which are not there. One cant but wonder at the myopia of the county board at all this, its not just 2 heads to roll but a whole top table that has prevailed over it allowing it to happen. When you get this low there is no lower level.

Replying To Clareman:  "Tony Kelly was the second highest scorer from play in the whole championship last year!! He also won another county title with Ballyea and was man of the match in the first round v waterford. He is going through a rough patch like the whole team. STOP TALKING NONSENSE."
For some games he can go the most of it & not touch the ball. And judging against Waterford doesn't make any sense. What really opened my eyes to the total ineptitude of the Clare team in their lack of fighting spirit was against Waterford in the league. It was like Clare of old just turning up for the day. And for Aron Shanagher as a hurler don't think he has the ball control to make it to the big time. Playing top teams now there can be no weakness in the chain otherwise the chain fails

Replying To Miami305:  "you are some Clare man calling time on Tony Kelly's intercounty career at what, 25 or 26 years of age? I think we will leave that to him. and I would give it around 6 years from now!"
6 yrs of what, a guy that lit up the field is now the dampest squib.
