Meath are expected to be without Mathew Costello for Sunday’s Allianz Football League Division 2 top-of-the-table showdown with Cork at Páirc Uí Rinn.

The Dunshaughlin attacker suffered a leg injury while tackling Louth’s Ciaran Downey during the closing stages of the Royals’ dramatic win over Louth at Croke Park last Saturday. He conceded a penalty – which Sean Brennan saved from Sam Mulroy – as he threw himself into the challenge and was replaced at half-time.

Meanwhile, former underage sensation Conor Corbett could make his first Cork appearance of the year after recovering from a shoulder injury, while Micheál Aodh Martin may start in goals after replacing the injured Patrick Doyle in the second half of last Sunday’s comfortable victory over Offaly in Tullamore.
