Joe Canning starred in Galway's epic goal-laden victory over Waterford as the Tribesmen ran out 4-28 to 3-23 winners to go level on six points with Tipperary at the top of the Allianz Hurling League Group A table.
The Portumna ace exerted a major influence on proceedings at Pearse Stadium this afternoon and helped the hosts overcome a six-point first-half deficit.
His assist for Brian Concannon's second and Galway's fourth goal and long-range sideline cut midway through the second-half were straight out of the 'top drawer'.
