mullahoran conceded their league game to the gaels...was that just to save face going into the championship or are they really in such dire straits?

How can they be allowed concede a league game and then play in the championship next week?

And their second team fielded last week. How can you field a second team but not a first.

I see the County Board are again wanting people to pay 20 euro for 3 games in Breffni on Sunday

Game at 2pm game at 3-30 pm Game at 7pm . So it will probably be 2 separate gates unless people are going to hang around for 2 hours for the last game ?

Does not sound much to me around €6-70 a match cheap entertainment anyway you look at it.

Why put on 2 separate gates ? Longford had a 30 euro pass for Pearse Park in the club championship for weekend fixtures.
In Cavan if you want to head in Friday night, Saturday evening and Sunday you'll need to fork out an extra tenner.
What is the point of 2 separate gates on Sunday? To take an extra tenner of the public. No other reason comes to mind.

Is it not possible to put the 3rd match on an hour earlier? Save people hanging around
Or does greed of another gate take preference?

The Breffni weekend Pass is a good idea but Cavan had a season ticket last year for €100 extra to your County Season Ticket which admitted you to ALL club championship matches and was a good reward for loyalty this was discontinued this year I think the only county to do this.
Good ideas don't last long in Cavan fleece the loyal punter is the motto

Well why not join club Breiffni you can go and see as many matches as you like around the county. I am not trying to be smart here I understand where you are coming from but it's an option.

Breffni weekend pass 25/30 euro would be a great idea especially this weekend.
6 games that's 12 teams on show.
It would encourage people at that price.
CB need to start showing some initiative if they want to promote club football.
They are always looking for that extra gate that extra 10 euro.
Open up the park for 25/30 euro this weekend and see how it turns out.

So why doesn't everyone join Club Breffni? So everyone that attends Breffni for the Cavan club championships should join Club Breffni, then there should be no need for a 2 hour gap between games on a Sunday? Jesus wept

it is an excellent idea and would show foresight and attract bigger crowds to watch the matches.

Sean o rinn if the 6 games on in breffni over 3 days why not make it attractive to people and have a weekend pass?
It's not about club breffni or club anything. It's about common sense and giving people choice and more importantly ... value for money.
The way the 3 games on Sunday are timed shows the CB want 2 gates. Because their not timed consecutively.
Not you can dress it up any way you like but it about money.
But they would probably get more money if the opened it up to a weekend pass but they can't see that

I think this was tried but the response to it was very small so they stopped it rightly so.

I have no problem with your sarcasm but running 3 games one after the other is asking a lot from stewards to give up their time to cover all of them. Also from experience most of the supporters following their own club just don't wait to see the next game and the end result is traffic congestion and chaos and people wanting out of the park. For the three matches you are talking about six hours or more. I am not making excuses and I am sure that some ideas are very good maybe worth having a chat with the county board.

I will mention this to Martin when I see him.

I will say this for others: people have no problem paying over €30 to watch a boring game like soccer with no complaints and all they are asking for here is just under €7 euro a match I think thats great value. If you pay €30 to watch six matches thats €5 euro a match do you think thats logical be honest for it does cost a lot of money to keep the county set up going I am sure you are aware of this without me saying it.
