Great win for Lavey, Kevin McDonnell doing fantastic work with them despite not having Raymond Cullivan for selection, can they cause an upset and beat Castlerahan and get to a final? I wouldn't be surprised. IamADragon (Cavan) - Posts: 306 - 23/09/2018 20:53:31 2143408 Link 0 |
Tierney is some player. Definitely have a chance.

Yeah. they have some decent players, I think they'll need the rub of the green to get to the final but it's not impossible

Good game in Lavey. Thought Lacken were the better team in the first half and McQuillan wasn't giving them much. Lavey sussed then out in the second half and finished well. Might give Castlerahan a game. westcavankid (Cavan) - Posts: 83 - 23/09/2018 22:16:28 2143426 Link 0 |

Lavey are a real hard working team. The mightn't have the big name players but they make up for it with hard work and graft.the jordan boys ,conroy, the smiths.great club men.gud luck Lavey and well done Kevin McDonnell. They have every chance Gudtimecharlie (Cavan) - Posts: 8 - 23/09/2018 22:49:17 2143433 Link 0 |
Was Niall Mc Kiernan playing for Lacken against Lavey? Didn't hear him mentioned. marita (None) - Posts: 468 - 23/09/2018 22:59:17 2143435 Link 0 |
Great win for Lavey at the weekend. Showing that league form is irrelevant. They have over achieved again and have a chance but I think Castlerahan will be too strong for them the next day. PatTheDandy (Cavan) - Posts: 356 - 24/09/2018 10:38:11 2143476 Link 0 |
Not a hope, lucky draws can get you so far, it will be a lopsided semi-final. The other semi will be a classic, two teams that along with the disappointing Ramor will battle it out for years to come and will herald a resurgence in Cavan football. Possibly the last chance for Castlerahan, we've heard that before, I believe the winners if Crosserlough and Gowna will win the Championship. Yeah, heard you the first time. Lets wait and see, I think Lavey have a chance, not a huge chance but maybe 25% to Castlerahans 75% IamADragon (Cavan) - Posts: 306 - 24/09/2018 16:00:04 2143556 Link 0 |
Lavey are as good as anyone on their day but I think cullivan missing is a big lost and think castlerahan will have too much. tom84 (Cavan) - Posts: 334 - 24/09/2018 18:55:21 2143581 Link 0 |
Easy work of a badly managed group I'd agree, there's a big challenge for Crosserlough in Gowna and whoever wins that will win the Championship. One of them will face Castlerahan and either Gowna or Crosserlough will be champions. Setantawatchl (Cavan) - Posts: 132 - 25/09/2018 04:17:37 2143640 Link 0 |
Outrageous decision to hold all the semi finals of the championship and the minor Div One final all in Kingscourt. What sense does it make dragging teams and supporters all the way up there for? daddyknowsbest (Cavan) - Posts: 85 - 25/09/2018 11:23:26 2143673 Link 0 |
Setanta, you seem to be continuingly hinting at issues with the Mgmt. Like the Mayo women, I think you should provide specifics if you want your gripes to be taken seriously... PatTheDandy (Cavan) - Posts: 356 - 25/09/2018 11:28:46 2143677 Link 0 |
Lavey certainly arent as good as anyone they are a Division 2 team at the end of the day.Castlerahan will beat them by 10 points. On the other side we have xlough who were bet by Cootehill in the championship & now facing relegation & Gowna who couldnt beat Ramor who played the whole game with 14 men. Castlerahan have been the most consistent team and should win the championship easy. Its certainly not wide open as its castlerahans championship to lose.

I don't believe that the Junior Semi Finals were in Kingscourt and the Intermediate Semi Finals will not be there either, the minor Division 1 Final is in Killeshandra why try putting out misleading info?

Lots of people on here ruling out castlerahan cavaman1234 (Cavan) - Posts: 12 - 25/09/2018 13:07:28 2143722 Link 0 |
To be fair to lavey they have been making the quarter and semi finals the last couple of years although I think they are not good enough to win it. Castlerahan have been the most consistent team al year but they also been the most consistent team for the last five years but have no championship to show for it. If gowna make the final I think they will win it If its castlerahan and Xlough I think castlerahan will win. If its lavey and Xlough I think Xlough will win. tom84 (Cavan) - Posts: 334 - 25/09/2018 20:01:04 2143808 Link 0 |
