From 11 Twin Oaks and formerly of Ballinamoney, Bailieborough, Johnny emigrated in the early 1950s and became a strong supporter of the local GAA in London. When he returned to Ireland in 1965, he immersed once more in the local community and was known for his fondness of cards and lively debates on a range of subjects including politics and football.
