Brady, Katie

The late Mrs Katie Brady (nee Fitzpatrick) was born, reared and passed away in Killitain. Sport was her second greatest love in life - after her family, of course - and Katie excelled as a camogie player. She played for Crubany, Killygarry and Cavan with distinction, winning back-to-back Ulster championships with the Breffni girls in the early 1940s. She supported Denn down through the years and she and her son Sean sponsored the Fitzpatrick Cup. Denn camogie club helped form a Guard of Honour at the removal to St Matthew's Church, Crosskeys.
