Rose 'Rosie' Byers was a member of one of the local community's best-known GAA families. Nee King, she was married to John Byers - one of the icons of Crosserlough's Golden Era. Sister of Denis, she religiously followed all grades of football from U10 right up to Over 40s and liked nothing better than a good debate about gaelic games.
