Gorman, Eddie

Eddie Gorman of Clonlohan was one of the area's best-known characters. He was very popular in GAA circles, having been closely involved in the Association all his life. He was the first secretary of the newly re-formed club in the 1950s and also served them as a player. Eddie was also a noted referee and took charge of many games. At his funeral, club members provided a very impressive Guard of Honour.
