The community in Cootehill were deeply saddened to learn of Hugh's death on May 2nd last at his residence at Ballybay Road, Cootehill.

Hugh's passion was Gaelic football and he followed the fortunes of his native Drumgoon club in an avid fashion.

He was a good family man, loved his children and adored his grandchildren.

Drumgoon GFC helped to form a Guard of Honour at his funeral at St. Michael's Church, Cootehill.

Hugh was predeceased by his wife Gertie and is survived by his sons Brian, Hugh and Ashley; daughter Libby, son in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, brothers and sisters to whom deepest sympathy is extended.
