Drumlane GAA was in mourning this past August with the passing of former player and Vice President Mick McKiernan. A loyal supporter of the Sons of O'Connell, Mick is survived by his son Gerry and daughters Colette and Marian, with his late wife Eileen and daughter Jacinta having sadly passed before him. The club offered its extended sympathies to Mick's family and honoured him with a Guard of Honour at his funeral which took place at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Staghall.
