Pauline passed away at her home in Mount Armstrong, Donadea, Co Kildare in October. She was the wife of former Cavan and Drumalee star Paddy McGovern and her death was met with great sadness around the area. Pauline's funeral mass took place at St Mary's Church in Maynooth on October 8th.
