Peader passed away in February and had played with Gowna for many years. He had a lifelong interest in the GAA and took on managing the Arva St Patrick's team in 1991. Both Arva and Gowna GAA formed a Guard of Honour for his removal to the Church of the Holy Family. Father of current Arva senior team players James and Peter, he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
