Liam worked in Arva for many years and played football with the club before moving to England in 1954. He married a year later, worked in the Vauxhall Plant in Luton and always kept a keen interest in Arva GFC. His death in September saw the club form a Guard of Honour for him at the Church of the Sacred Heart.
