January saw the passing of Jimmy Donohoe from Ballyhaise. A promising underage footballer who won medals at U12 and U14, Jimmy went on to complete army tours in Lebanon. His funeral mass in St Mary's Church saw a Guard of Honour held by the Ballyhaise GAA club and his former military colleagues.
