July saw Ramor United mourning the death of one of their club Presidents, Declan McConn from Bridge View in Virginia. Declan played for Virginia Blues before moving to England in the 1960s and when he returned home he plied his trade on the field with Ramor. He was known as a diehard supporter who never missing a match, whether it was club or county, and in more recent years he helped to raise funds for the construction of Dolan Park. The club formed a Guard of Honour as his remains were accompanied to Mary Immaculate Church.
