Killeshandra lost one of its most popular citizens in August with the death of Mary Ellen Masterson (nee Brady) from Coragh. A member of the ICA, Mary's expertise in baking, cooking, knitting and crochet often saw her called upon to help out with community projects. The Killeshandra Leaguers club formed a Guard of Honour at her funeral mass at St Brigid's Church.
