Great sadness was evident near and far as word began to circulate that Patrick Francis 'Paddy' Mulligan of Woodlands, Arva had passed away on Thursday, July 20th, 2017. A respected member of the farming community and a founder of Arva Agricultural Show Society in 1956, Paddy was a very active member of St Patrick's GFC in Arva. He was a regular a training, where he used to make sure the players had a cup of tea afterwards. As a mark of respect, a minute's silence was observed prior to Arva's clash with Cootehill. Members of St Patrick's Football Club were amongst those who provided Guards of Honour as Paddy was brought on his final journey.
