Na Fianna made it three wins from three in the Dublin senior 1 hurling championship after seeing off Naomh Barrog on a comprehensive 4-22 to 2-15 scoreline last night.

John Tierney struck a first-half hat-trick for the defending champions at Parnell Park, where the scoreboard read 3-15 to 1-7 at half-time.

AJ Murphy struck the Glasnevin men’s fourth goal in the game latter stages as they cruised to a third win, with Donal Burke also contributing 0-10 for them over the hour.

The other SHC clash in the capital on Friday evening saw St Vincent’s edge out Whitehall Colmcille in what was a thrilling contest.

It finished 1-28 to 5-15 at Parnell Park, where late scores from Brian Bogler, substitute John Hetherton and Stephen Williams saw Vins over the line in the end.

Goals by Lee Gannon and Eoghan O’Donnell helped Whitehall to edge a 2-12 to 0-16 lead at the halfway stage.

The second-half would see Whitehall raising more green flags via a Mark O’Farrell own goal and another major from O’Donnell, but the Marino men responded with a superb Conor Burke goal.

O’Donnell completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute, but it wouldn’t be enough as the points of Bolger and Hetherton levelled the tie ahead of Williams sending over and snatching St Vincent’s first win.
