St Finbarr’s will meet Dingle in the Munster club senior football championship final after brushing aside Éire Óg Ennis at SuperValu Pairc Ui Chaoimh this afternoon.

Cork hurling star Brian Hayes netted a hat-trick of goals as the Barrs recorded a 3-20 to 0-14 victory to advance to next month’s provincial decider against the Kerry champions.

Hayes’s first goal soared the home side 1-3 to 0-5 in front after 18 minutes and they wouldn’t look back from there, with Steven Sherlock and Rickey Barrett sending over points that had them up by 1-10 to 0-8 come half-time.

After landing a two-pointer to close the first-half, Mark McInerney registered Éire Óg’s first point of the second-half and Gavin Murray grabbed another before Hayes got in for his second goal in the 43rd minute.

The same player would add a point that raised the Cork champions’ tally to 2-16 and, after another McInerney two-pointer, Hayes completed his hat-trick in the 56th minute to put the result beyond any doubt for the Barrs.
