New Tipperary manager Colm Bonnar's first Allianz Hurling League selection includes a number of rookies.

In a week when Tipp hurling has been rocked by Padraic Maher's enforced retirement through injury, Bonnar has named young guns James Quigley, Craig Morgan, Dillon Quirke, Ger Browne and Mark Kehoe in his team for tomorrow evening's first round clash with Laois at MW Hire O'Moore Park.

There are just six survivors from the side that started last year's All-Ireland SHC quarter-final defeat to Waterford at Pairc Uí Chaoimh.

Tipperary (SH v Laois): Brian Hogan; Cathal Barrett, James Quigley, Craig Morgan; Dillon Quirke, Seamus Kennedy, Barry Heffernan; Alan Flynn, Michael Breen; Dan McCormack, Jason Forde, Ger Browne; Mark Kehoe, Denis Maher, Jake Morris.
