James Gallagher's second goal ten minutes from time proved decisive as London defeated Leitrim 2-5 to 0-9 at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence to maintain their winning run in this year's Allianz Football League Division 4 campaign.

With the Cavan and Sligo game postponed, Michael Maher's charges stand alone at the top of the table with three wins from as many outings, an achievement all the more remarkable considering their two-year absence during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Extraordinarily, the Exiles trailed by 1-1 to 0-7 at half-time but made full use of their wind advantage after the break as they continued their knack of coming from behind to win matches.

Meanwhile, history was made in Bekan where Cavan's Maggie Farrelly became the first female to referee a men's Allianz Football League game.

It was the only fixture that went ahead in Division 4 today, as Wexford and Tipperary also fell foul of the weather.
