Jarlath Burns has come under fire from former Meath footballer Anthony Moyles for suggesting that the All-Ireland finals could return to their traditional September slot.
Moyles was part of the Club Players’ Association (CPA) which successfully lobbied for the introduction of a GAA split-season before disbanding in 2021. However, the new GAA president’s comments haven’t gone down well with Moyles who said in a social media post that it was "time to get the band back together’.
TweetSeriously 🙈here we go again 🤬 club players. Best of luck. It was fun while you had it… a fixture list from the start of the year that rarely deviated and an ability to plan things outside of matches. Time to get the band back together #CPA https://t.co/PP5bIkXGxA
