Former Dublin captain Denise Masterson reckons the current squad will be tested by Meath in the All-Ireland Ladies SFC final next Sunday fortnight.

The capital women kept their drive for a fifth successive All-Ireland success alive this past weekend by defeating Mayo at Croke Park, while their neighbours rescued a draw late on against Cork before triumphing in extra time.

It sees the Royal County competing in its first ladies senior All-Ireland final and, speaking to RTE's Game On ahead of the decider, Masterson sees how they can provide problems to the defending champions.

"You could throw 10 names out that played a huge part against Cork," she stated.

"The teams haven't met competitively in the championship for a while. Cork had their gameplan nailed down against Meath, but fell away at the end.

“I don't think it will be as one-sided as it should be on paper. Meath will give it to Dublin."
