The Camogie Association have passed a motion aimed at supporting and facilitating dual players.
At its Congress today, which took place virtually for the second year in-a-row due to Covid-19 restrictions, 81% of delegates voted in favour of the motion, stating that the Camogie Association will "endeavour to facilitate as far as practical the dual player".
A motion proposing to change the rules on physical play received 84% support from delegates. The amendment will allow a player to "use minimal contact on an opponent’s body from side-on once they are making a reasonable effort to gain possession of the sliotar".
Delegates also voted to outlaw the hand passed goal rule, with a 68% majority.
