Brian Stack and Mark Daly are facing a race against time to be fit for St Brigid’s All-Ireland club SFC final showdown with Dingle on Sunday week.

Joint-captain and centre back Stack fell awkwardly after colliding with Scotstown goalkeeper Rory Beggan during last Sunday’s semi-final at Kingspan Breffni, but managed to play on despite complaining of difficulties in breathing. Daly’s participation in the Andy Merrigan Cup decider is also in doubt after he was forced off with a knee injury early in the second half.

“He was in bits, he couldn’t breathe. I thought there’d be a stretcher out and everything, to get up and get the free from that is just a testament to him as a player and a leader,” man of the match and joint-captain Paul McGrath said of Stack.
