Former player Tomás Burke has been appointed as the new Camross senior hurling manager.
Burke, who captained the Laois hurling giants to Bob O’Keefe Cup success in 2013, takes over from David Cuddy, who stepped down in the wake of October’s Laois SHC final defeat to Clough/Ballacolla. Cuddy led the black and ambers to championship success during his previous spell in charge in 2023, but Clough/Ballacolla have won every other title since 2020.
The holders are also on the lookout for a new manager after Willie Hyland stepped aside following their narrow Leinster club SHC semi-final loss to Ballyhale Shamrocks a few weeks ago.
Meanwhile, former Laois U20 football boss and All-Ireland SFC final referee Eddie Kinsella will take charge of Ballylinan in 2026.
The Courtwood man, who parted ways with Tyrrellspass on the eve of this year’s Westmeath SFC, is aiming to win the Laois IFC title with his new charges after they were well beaten by Park-Ratheniska at the semi-final stage last season.
