Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has heaped praise on former GAA underage player Conor Bradley following his man of the match performance in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg against Fulham.

In only his sixth appearance under Klopp, Bradley excelled in the absence of the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold at right back as the Reds came from behind to win 2-1 at Anfield. The Tyrone youngster played GAA with Aghyaran St Davog’s before joining Liverpool at the age of 15.

"He's a top boy,” Klopp enthused.

“Today was pretty intense for him. Someone has to drive him home, hopefully, because he's sitting in the dressing room and doesn't look great.

"He gave his absolute everything. That's really nice to see. He could show how good he is, and of course, there is so much more to come."

Aghyaran St Davog’s said it was ‘super proud’ of the Northern Ireland international in a social media post.
