Former Kilkenny All-Ireland winner Matthew Ruth has joined Brian Dowling’s Kildare senior hurling management team.
The James Stephens clubman replaces Conor O’Shea as a coach, having won four All-Ireland titles and three Kilkenny SHC medals during his playing career.
Ruth links up with Dowling, who has been ratified for a further three years after guiding Kildare to Christy Ring and Joe McDonagh Cup success, as well as promotion to Division 1B.
He becomes the latest former Kilkenny player to have an involvement in Kildare hurling, following the likes of Andy Comerford and David Herity.
