Wexford GAA has announced that tickets for the first game under lights at Wexford Park have sold out.

The new lights will be officially switched on when Wexford host Kilkenny in the third round of the Walsh Cup on Saturday, January 21. A fireworks and lightshow display will take place before the game which gets underway at 6pm.

The attendance has been capped at 10,000, but Wexford GAA may yet opt to open the terraces to allow for increased capacity.

“We wish to announce that due to tremendous interest from our supporters, all tickets for public sale for our opening game under floodlights against Kilkenny are now sold out. Please do not purchase tickets from any unofficial sources for this game,” Wexford GAA said in a tweet.
