Mayo GAA has sent its deepest sympathies to the family of the late Brian Mullin and Sharon Ryan after their tragic deaths over the weekend.
Brian and his friend Sharon were both killed on Sunday night when the car they were travelling in collided with a van in the Patrickswell area of Limerick.
31-year-old Brian is the brother of Mayo football star Oisin Mullin.
Mayo GAA posted the below tweet this morning (Wednesday) to express its condolences to the families of the departed.
Mayo county board chairman Seamus Tuohy also commented: “We are all in shock and in mourning after hearing this terrible news. The thoughts of every GAA person not just in Mayo but in the country go out to the Mullin and Ryan families. It is so sad, and we are lost for words.”
