Aidan O'Mahony has guided MTU Kerry to the semi-finals of the Sigerson Cup after a dominant display against Maynooth University this afternoon.

A first-half scoring spree that yielded an unanswered 2-5 put MTU Kerry firmly in the driving seat on home turf in Tralee, and they kept their foot on the throttle in the second period to run out commanding 4-15 to 0-7 winners.

Shane O'Sullivan opened the scoring for Maynooth, but they soon found themselves 10 points down, with Jack Savage and Tomás Ó Sé grabbing goals in the eight and 17th minutes, respectively.

Points by An Ghaeltacht clubman Ó Sé and Tony Brosnan pulled the hosts even further clear by half-time (2-7 to 0-2), and the former added three on the spin after the restart on his way to a tally of 2-7.

The action continues later today as NUI Galway face Letterkenny IT in Dangan (throw-in 6.30pm), while the remaining two quarter-finals take place tomorrow evening.
