While the GAA has yet to publish its Allianz Football and Hurling League fixtures for 2022, many inter-county managers already know their order of games and are planning accordingly.

Despite the provisional list being sent to counties almost a month ago, the GAA still hasn't gone public with its official fixtures list. Among the details which have already emerged are that All-Ireland champions Limerick will open their Allianz Hurling League campaign away to Wexford on February 5. John Kiely's men will face Cork in a repeat of the All-Ireland final at the Gaelic Grounds on February 27.

Henry Shefflin's first league game in charge of Galway will be against Offaly - who are managed by his Ballyhale club-mate Michael Fennelly - on February 5 in Pearse Stadium.

In football, All-Ireland champions Tyrone will be at home to Monaghan in their Allianz League opener on the weekend of January 29/30. Mayo will open their campaign against Donegal in Markievicz Park as MacHale Park is closed for pitch maintenance work, while Dublin will face Armagh in Croke Park under lights on Saturday, January 29.

The first round game which will receive most of the attention, however, is Jack O'Connor's return to Newbridge with Kerry to face his former Kildare charges on Sunday, January 30 at 1.45pm.

The Allianz Hurling League semi-finals are set for March 26/27, with the final on April 2/3. The Allianz Football League finals have also been slated for the weekend of April 2/3.
