Seamus Harnedy has recovered from a thumb injury to make his first start of the year for Cork in their Munster SHC opener against Clare in Ennis tomorrow.
The long-serving St Ita’s clubman is one of two changes from the side that defeated Tipperary in the Allianz Hurling League final earlier this month with Mark Coleman also returning at wing back in place of the injured Cormac O’Brien. Harnedy has been given the nod at number 10 ahead of Diarmuid Healy.
Meanwhile, the Clare team shows just one change from that which started last year’s epic All-Ireland final win over the Rebels, with Ryan Taylor coming in for the injured Shane O’Donnell. Diarmuid Ryan is also back after missing the entire Allianz League campaign through injury.
