Wins for Limerick and Cork in Munster MHC

Limerick and Cork registered victories over Clare and Waterford respectively in the Munster MHC last night.

Limerick made it two wins from two by overcoming Clare 2-20 to 0-22 at the TUS Gaelic Grounds. Goals in either half from Sean Duff and Robert O'Farrell helped the hosts to the win after they had led by 1-13 to 0-12 at half-time.

Darren Collopy top-scored with 0-10 (0-9 from frees), while Hugh Flanagan hit 0-5 from play. Mark O'Brien was the Banner's leading marksman with 0-8 (0-7 from frees).

At Páirc Uí Chaoimh, Barry Walsh and Barry O'Flynn scored 2-5 and 1-7 respectively as Cork eased to a 3-19 to 0-15 win over Waterford.

The Rebels had led by 2-11 to 0-10 at the interval.
