Absolutely breathtaking stuff at Croke Park...
Limerick produced one of the greatest halves of hurling ever seen as they scored 3-18 to Cork's 1-10 in a spectacular opening 35 minutes of this afternoon's All-Ireland senior hurling final.
The reigning All-Ireland champions had ten different scorers with all bar two points of their impressive tally coming from play.
2020 Hurler of the Year Gearoid Hegarty ghosted in behind the Cork's defence to net the opening goal on two minutes.
Shane Kingston responded in kind for the Rebels before the Treaty men firmly took a stranglehold on the game, and Aaron Gillane added a second major to put them 2-8 to 1-6 ahead at the first water-break.
Then on the stroke of half-time, Hegarty plundered his second and Limerick's third!
