Pairc Ui Chaoimh
Cork County Board is planning a €67m revamp of Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The aim is to transform the much-maligned Cork city venue into one of the most modern facilities in the country, with up to 400 people expected to be employed on the project, which will boost the capacity of the stadium to 45,000.

The plans were unveiled to club delegates at a briefing last night and Cork GAA chiefs will apply for planning permission in October.

The project will incorporate the redevelopment of both stands and will also include new roofs, new dressing-rooms and pre-match warm-up areas, medical facilities, restaurants, meeting and conference rooms, a press room, a museum, new and additional turnstiles, the removal of the existing stadium tunnels and the creation of new access points.
