Is this a first in the GAA?

Since the season started, the Cleary twins, Eoin and Conor, have captained the Clare senior footballers and hurlers respectively. This is a remarkable achievement for the brothers and their club St Joseph’s Miltown, which is located in the traditional football stronghold of West Clare.

The twins are facing into another busy weekend with the footballers in Allianz League Division 2 action against Dublin at Croke Park on Saturday evening, and the hurlers travelling to Wexford on Sunday for an Allianz League Division 1 Round 3 clash with Wexford.
