The Sunday Game revealed its 2022 All-Ireland senior hurling championship ‘Team of the Year’ last night following the conclusion of the Liam MacCarthy Cup race.
To no surprise, Limerick dominate the selection with eight positions on the team, while beaten finalists Kilkenny have three, along with Clare, while Galway have one.
Free-scoring half-back Diarmaid Byrnes was selected as ‘Player of the Year’ after a remarkable season in the green and white of the Treaty County.
