Cavan have appointed a new senior hurling manager for the 2022 season.
Cavan county board confirmed yesterday that they will be putting Neil Cole's name forward for ratification with his full backroom to be announced in due course.
The former Meath star led Trim to their first Meath SHC title in 19 years following victory over Ratoath in the delayed 2020 final.
Cole, who managed the Meath minor hurlers in the recent past, takes over from Ollie Bellew, who stepped down after the Breffni County's Lory Meagher Cup final loss to Fermanagh.
