The first round of the ACFL div1 will take place  next weekend at home to Ramor Utd at a time to be decided .Our reserves were defeated by Ramor in the first round of the reserve league last Saturday the game was played in Colmcille thanks to our neighbours for providing the pitch.

 

Well done to Conor Madden who came of the bench and scored the winning point for Cavan last Sunday in Breffni park against Tipperary to send Cavan up to div1 of the national league and also into the div2 final next Sunday in Croke park best of luck to the 2Conors and their teammates on the day.

Gowna Ladies Annual Easter Raffle Draw will take place next Sunday the 1st of April. Raffle prizes include Easter Egg Hamper, fuel voucher and a hamper with a selection of goodies (whiskey, wine etc), and more.Tickets will be on sale in the local pubs and after mass next weekend or can be got from any senior ladies players also.

 

Best of luck to Emma Halton and Cian Murray who are competing in Cavan Ladies Striclty Come Dancing "Battle of the Clubs" this Friday night the 30th of March in the Hotel Kilmore. Tickets on sale from any member of the Gowna Ladies committee. Emma is sponsored by Medi Skin and Beauty, Gowna and Cian is sponsored by Gowna LGFA. 

 

Senior ladies were defeated by Killygarry on Sunday 25th March. Final Score: Gowna 2.9 Killygarry 6.4. The ladies play Bailioboro next Sunday the 1st of April. Updates on time and venue can be found on the ladies facebook or twitter page.
