Larry Murphy

(Oldest Posts First)

I'm told my great uncle Larry Murphy won all Ireland medals with Cavan and railway cup medals in the 40s, 50s period. He was originally from Louth but was stationed in Cavan with the Army. He won an all Ireland minor medal with Louth in 1940. I know this is a long shot but would anyone have information on him?

I wouldn't publicly say he was a relation

Looking at photos from the All Ireland winning squads of 1947, 48 and 52, there wasn't a Murphy on any of the 3 panels.

He may have been on a panel and missed the final through injury? Other than that, I can't help I'm afraid.
