Replying To ForeverBlue2: "After looking at the match again last night I wuold have to say the referee got it wrong when he blew up for a free when the goal was scored… I hadn't realised the Emmets player hopped the ball going through the tackle after being pulled back… the referee was too quick to whistle and even Finbarr Reilly was gracious enough to say the goal should have stood… It may not have changed the result in any case.. I also think the black card was a very harsh call as the player was trying to execute a shoulder but miss timed it resulting in a foul which was really a yellow card…. you could see the player's disbelief when a black card was shown… Two big calls thankfully that went in Arva's favour but overall they were deserving winners in what was a very good game of football….."
As I said..what was the referee at. Terrible in an all ireland final to get it such a pivotal decision at such a pivotal time so wrong

Referees do tend to blow too quickly when playing the advantage… they should let the play develop more and if nothing comes of it I don't think anyone would complain if he goes back and gives a free for the original infringement…,frustrating when they blow too quickly which happens a lot
