Replying To tenyearplan:  "In my opinion development squads are overrated , the majority of players develop most when they start to play senior club football , Conor McManus never played under-age football for Monaghan , he developed his own game . Truth is, a lot of these development coaches try to develop a team rather than encourage players to be individual ,play to their own strengths and not be afraid to take risks ."
i say if you suggested to the coaches of these development squads to practice drills taking on your man one to one and going for goal if successful or shooting from outside the 35 or high fielding they would tell you to go to a nursing home as those skills are no longer relevant in the moderm game.

And that's why football is in the state it's in… Spoof coaches … easy to coach a team to play negative basketball type football… Not so easy to go the positive attack minded route… hence the game is awash with negative spoof coaches at all levels..

Profit from DP centres ......that going into someone's pocket & not Monaghan gaa. Kingspan are the wealthiest sponsor of the lot I'd imagine.......though they employ more people in Monaghan.
