Cavan boss Mattie McGleenan has reverted Gearoid McKiernan to full-forward for Saturday's visit of Tipperary to Kingspan Breffni.
Having been picked in midfield, McKiernan turned in a man-of-the-match performance for the Breffni men in their four-point victory over Offaly, scoring 1-4 and McGleenan has opted for the big Swanlinbar man on the edge of the square.
There are four changes from the previous round in Tullamore two weeks ago, with fit-again captain Killian Clarke, Niall Murray, Tomas Corr and championship newcomer Caoimhin O'Reilly all getting the nod.
Gerard Smith misses out through injury while the entire full-forward line from the last day, Niall Clerkin, Sean Johnston and Niall McDermott, drop to the bench.
