Seniors
The seniors secured a precious 1-8 to 1-7 away victory over our neighbours Drumlane in Milltown on Friday evening last in the league. The Rories opened the scoring through Cian Vaughan in the first half but Drumlane got on top to build up a 1-3 to 0-1 advantage. A point apiece from Conal McGinley and a free from Cian Vaughan was followed up just before half time by a cracking goal from Conal McGinley which left Drumlane with a narrow 1-4 to 1-3 half time lead. Drumlane lead for a huge portion of the match and only two frees from the boot of Mark Teevan and a free from Niall Lawlor levelled the game at 1-6 each entering the closing exchanges. A point apiece from Eoin McGuigan and Conal McGinley opened up a two point gap and despite halving their deficit Drumlane were unable to break down the Belturbet defence late on and so the spoils went to the Rories. Cavan Seniors
Hard luck to our county player Damien O'Reilly and the Cavan senior team who bowed out of the championship on Sunday last at the Quarter final stage when they were defeated by 0-15 to 0-9 to Kerry. The senior team turned in a number of fine performances in 2013 and excellent strides have been made this year which hopefully will be built upon in 2014 and here's hoping to an even better year for the Breffni County next season.

Committee Meeting
August Meeting of the club committee takes place this Thursday August 8th at 8.30 p.m in the clubrooms.

U16 Championship
Belturbet have been paired at home to Ballymachugh in Division 3 of the U16 Championship with the Group 2 fixture due to take place this Friday August 9th at 7.30 p.m. Please note this fixture is subject to change.

Senior Championship
Belturbet face Cuchulainns in the First Round of the Senior Championship with the match fixed for Sunday August 18th in Kingspan Breffni Park.

Cavan U16's & Ladies
Best of luck to the Cavan U16 Girls in their All Ireland Semi Final against Dublin this Saturday August 10th at 2pm in Ashbourne and to the Cavan Ladies who face London in the qualifiers at 3.45 p.m as part of a double header in Ashbourne.
